Public Works Director
The City of Loudon Tennessee, is seeking a Director for our Public Works Department.

This position reports to the City Manager. The individual awarded this position will oversee and direct operations including Sanitation, Streets, Vehicle Maintenance and Fuel Purchases. This person also works as a liaison between the city and sub-contractors.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and or extensive related Public Works experience. Strong analytical and communication skills with proven leadership abilities are a must.

Candidate must be proficient in the use of software including Window, Excel, and Word. This position is subject to residency requirements.

A special called meeting of the Loudon City Council will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the meeting room at city hall located at 201 Alma Place.

The purpose of the meeting is to accept the certified 2017 property tax rate and to consider setting a 2017 property tax rate on first reading.

Monday, August 21, 2017
The Loudon City Council will conduct public hearings on Monday, August 21, 2017 for the following ordinances:

  • 6:20 amending the zoning map of the City of Loudon, Tennessee, pursuant to 13-7-203 and 13-7-204 of the Tennessee Code Annotated, to rezone property located at 931 Mulberry Street from C-2 (Highway Commercial District) to R-2 (High Density Residential District) referenced: Tax Map 041-I, Group A, Parcel 005.00; and
  • 6:25 ameding 2016-2017 Fiscal Year Budget.

The ordinances are available for review at Loudon City Hall. The hearings will be held in the City Council Meeting Room, City Hall, 201 Alma Place. Any person, who needs special accommodation in order to participate in the meeting, shall contact the City Manager's office as soon as possible but no later than the Thursday prior to the meeting.
